Finding “The Right Look” for you.

Picking out your wardrobe is very important so it’ll pay off to prepare the right outfits that will best represent who you are marketing yourself to be. Have an idea of the characters you would play. If you’re not sure, ask your agent or manager. As in casting, ask yourself “who would you play on TV or in a movie”. After you figure this out, give the characters personality through their wardrobe. It’s best to bring 2 outfits for each (make sure you iron or steam your clothes) as it’s good to have options. Don’t over think it. Your outfits don’t need to be overly complicated. Small accent jewelry is OK if it tells the story of you character.  Avoid colors that closely match you skin tone.  If you bring your eyeglasses, pop out the lenses. An “unsuccessful wardrobe” would be 2 tank tops and a tee shirt or bringing in suitcases of everything in your closet – that means you didn’t put much thought into your wardrobe. Be prepared.
